Synopsis:

Come Rain Or Shine is a collection of revealing interviews with women from around New Zealand ~ their stories told over the great Kiwi ritual of tea and a chat. The perspectives on life these fourteen women share are as varied as their tales: some deeply personal and moving, others of interest for their vivid portrayal of life in New Zealand. Some are simply just rollicking good yarns. In the tradition that accompanies 'alling in for a cuppa', each woman leaves the reader with a small gift ~a favourite bread recipe or poem, or a piece of tried and true advice. Twelve years on women's magazines inspired Shona Jennings to write Come Rain Or Shine. The constant search for stories of inspirational women' to fill the pages of the magazine taught Shona that the most intriguing tales are often those told by women leading 'ordinary lives'. Shona Jennings is a freelance editor, writer and photographer. She has edited and co-edited magazines including More, More Fashion and Fashion Quarterly, She now edits Polynesia – a magazine focussingg on Pacific Island life - and is a regular contributor to TVNZ'S NZ Living and Next magazine.

The Bookworms Mission:

We strive to reduce unnecessary landfill by taking used books, second-hand books, paperback books, hardback books, pre-loved books, great reads and recycled books and then redistributing them throughout New Zealand, Australia and the rest of the world. Readers can connect online with book titles, helping them find new homes, and support reusing and re-loving books that are affordable. At Bookworms you’ll find cheap books, hidden gems and even some lost treasures. We have a passion for sustainability, being eco-friendly, eco-conscious and we aim to incorporate that into all that we do.
