Synopsis:
The day Fiona takes Bugs, her pet rabbit, to school, ends in disaster, and leaves her feeling outraged and humiliated.
Janet, her bullying classmate, takes every opportunity to make matters worse. She even
turns Kate, Fiona's best friend, against her. Fiona feels isolated and very unhappy until she meets an older boy, Brent, on the beach below her home. He has been injured in a car accident and is staying with his grandfather to recuperate. With Brent's help and encouragement Fiona takes up her running again, something in which she excels. On the Annual Sports Day however, she has to compete against Claire, the previous year's champion in the 100 metres sprint!
Not until the end of the story does Miss Robbins, Fiona's teacher, make a starling discovery which makes Fiona feel she is no longer an Outcast!

Readers can connect online with book titles, helping them find new homes, and support reusing and re-loving books that are affordable. At Bookworms you’ll find cheap books, hidden gems and even some lost treasures. We have a passion for sustainability, being eco-friendly, eco-conscious and we aim to incorporate that into all that we do.
