A solitary jogger is gunned down on a deserted New York street, without a scrap of identification on him-except a ticket for the lottery whose jackpot now approaches sixty million dollars. Retired cop Jake Neuman is called in. His style is cramped by having to contend with a young woman making a documentary about the police.. .and by his wife's newly-acquired notions on making their marriage succeed.
