Synopsis:

A candid portrait of one of New Zealand's most successful entrepreneurs, as well as a practical hands-on guide to what it takes to succeed in business. In this candid and engaging book New Zealand businesswoman Diane Foreman tells how she went from being a single mother to creating a successful multi-million-dollar export company. The New Zealand EY Entrepreneur of the Year in 2009 and named by Forbes magazine as one of the most powerful women in Asia in 2014, Diane is the first to admit she's made mistakes, and in this book she openly shares them along with the lessons she's learned on the road to creating a globally successful business empire. Diane is a role model for business people everywhere, who she encourages to ‘leave the ladder down’ so others can succeed more quickly. An invaluable guide for anyone looking to grow their business or even starting out with nothing, this is also a handbook for succeeding in life. Diane Foreman ONZM is one of New Zealand's most successful business women and is CEO of Emerald Group. As chief executive of the Emerald Group business empire, Diane has investments in New Zealand healthcare, manufacturing in New Zealand and America, high level recruitment and a boutique hotel on Auckland's North Shore. Diane is a former deputy chair of the Business Roundtable and has also worked with a number of charities. She was the 2009 New Zealand EY Entrepreneur of the Year and in 2014 was named by Forbes magazine as one of the most powerful women in Asia. As one of New Zealand's leading entrepreneurs, Diane has many years experience running and growing successful businesses in health, property, recruitment, and of course, award winning ice cream.

We strive to reduce unnecessary landfill by taking used books, second-hand books, paperback books, hardback books, pre-loved books, great reads and recycled books and then redistributing them throughout New Zealand, Australia and the rest of the world. Readers can connect online with book titles, helping them find new homes, and support reusing and re-loving books that are affordable. At Bookworms you’ll find cheap books, hidden gems and even some lost treasures. We have a passion for sustainability, being eco-friendly, eco-conscious and we aim to incorporate that into all that we do.

At Bookworms we keep things simple. So we charge one fee no matter the size of your order.

Overseas Shipping

While we can ship overseas, in the current climate the cost of sending internationally is HUGE and The Bookworms Team have had to price shipping outside of New Zealand accordingly. We have faith the world will return to some semblance of normal and we can go back to being a more reasonable part of the global economy. The flat fee still applies for overseas orders but unfortunately not the free shipping offer.

Australia - $25
Rest of the world - $75

Because we are primarily dealing with second-hand products of varying conditions, The Bookworms Team does its very best to describe the condition of its products as accurately as possible. Our approach on this is that we don't want our customers to have any surprises when they receive their order. We'd hate for you to be waiting for a book and then it turns up in an unexpected condition.

However we know that it can happen, the quality of the product delivered may not be what you expected, maybe we missed the mark when describing the product condition. Whatever happens, please get in touch with us to explain the issue and we will do our best to help out.

Depending on the situation, some ways we can help are:

  1. Provide a full refund of the price of the product.
  2. Refund a portion of the price of the product to match its condition.
  3. Source another copy of the product to meet your expectations.

In all situations we will abide by The Consumer Guarantees Act and The Fair Trading Act, but at the end of the day getting a book to right place with the right person is the aim of this game. We also reserve the right to request you to return the product at our expense, but this will not always be required, if it can still be used.

The first step is contacting us if you would like to discuss the quality of the product you've received. We also love to hear from you with any positive feedback so we can make sure we keep doing the good stuff too.
